I am trying to find any information on my father,
Myrddin Davies, who was born
in Gelli in 1910. He was known for his prowess on the
harp; winning the National
Eisteddfod
Harp prize for under 18's in 1925 and 1926.
II understand that he played in most of
the chapels in the Rhondda and I would imagine that
there must be some published records.
Thank you.

DYLAN'S
DEN
|
Dylan's Den is now
open to provide high quality after school childcare in
Treorchy Primary School.
The club is run by
enthusiastic well trained staff and is
open every school day.
You can send your child every day or
just for one day if you like. This facility
could prove very helpful in the lead
up to Christmas.
If you need to go shopping and don't
want the pressure of having to pick up the kids at 3.15pm,
just book them in for a session whenever you want.

Hi Folks,
I'm trying to trace the Welsh side of my
family from here in Australia with little success. Is there
anyone in Treorchy who can help with information? My father,
William Crewe, was born at 5 River Terrace, Treorchy on 22
December, 1906. His father, Richard Crewe, [my
grandfather], lived in Senghenydd Street, Treorchy, at the time of
his marriage. The last time I saw my Welsh grandparents was when
I was 5 years old and at that time they lived in Beddau. I have
no idea where my Welsh cousins are at this time.
Any news will be gratefully received!
Don.
