Rhondda Jazz Club

Rhondda Jazz Club was formed around about 1987 and was the first of its kind in the valleys. Back in the early days we were offered the Polikoffs Social Club in Pentre as our venue once a month. It was a great success with many different bands performing each month. Unfortunately, the Polikoffs Social Club closed and a new venue had to be found. Rhondda Jazz Club was very lucky to have been offered Rhondda Cynon Taf’s Parc & Dare Theatre in Treorchy. In the basement of the Park & Dare is the Lesser Hall. This is an excellent venue for the Jazz Club, and we are very grateful to have it. We would also like to thank the staff of the Parc & Dare who help on the night.

All ages of people come to Rhondda Jazz Club ranging from 20 to 80, and everyone is guaranteed to have a Great Night out, forgetting everything, but what they hear. There are also refreshments available a such as tea or coffee, but for those who like something a bit stronger, there’s a fully licensed bar in the hall!!

Rhondda Jazz Club has a friendly atmosphere and coming alone makes no difference. There is always someone to talk to. Why not come along one night.
