HARMONICA - Derek Donovan of Cardiff, will be making a return visit to Cwmparc Welfare Hall on Wednesday 29th October from 2.30 to 4pm. All are welcome to come along to the hall and enjoy a free afternoon’s entertainment, with all types of music being performed.

NEWCASTLE HALF MARATHON - Sian Cole of Stuart Street, Treorchy (pictured left) would like to thank all who supported her, and contributed so generously to Cancer Research UK, when she participated in the Great North Run half-marathon in Newcastle. Sian, who works as a Macmillan Nurse, sends thanks also to all who supported her from the Mosely Pub in Liverpool in memory of Helena, her good friend who sadly passed away in 2002. |

TREK
STEVE BRADSHAW (pictured right) of Birchgrove Street, Porth is attempting to raise £3,500 by 19th December - in order to take part in a trek to the Himalayas next February - to help raise funds for the charity SCOPE. TREORCHY OAP - Treorchy Senior Citizens (O.A.P) Club met at Oak Tree Hall, Treorchy on Thursday 9th October for their monthly meeting. Refreshments were served and members partook in a quiz organised by Mrs Beryl Rowe. The afternoon concluded with three games of Bingo.
Everyone had a good time and all are looking forward to the next meeting, which will take place at 2.00pm on Thursday 23rd October when Barbara Webb will be giving a talk on reflexology.

and friends are most welcome to come along, and from Thursday 23rd
