Owain - the claimant to the Welsh throne - was assassinated in France and the fascinating story of Owain has led to a joint venture with the French town of Mortagne for a memorial to be unveiled in the summer of 2003. There is great enthusiasm in France - and many Welsh supporters - for the occasion. Information available from Mr Brian Davies, 2 Lon Slwch, Brecon. BA16 ODE. Tel: 01874 625981 |
