AUDIENCE GIVES THUNDEROUS APPLAUSE - Cor Meibion Cwm Rhondda held a concert on Friday, May 9 at the Llwynypia Community Centre, Coleg Morgannwg, Llwynypia - an excellent facility, which was appreciated by everyone present. The choir opened the concert with Cwm Rhondda, which they have adopted as their 'theme' tune, then went on to entertain a very appreciative audience with ballads and songs from the shows. Lee Gilbert was the guest artiste, and he wowed the audience in the first half, with renderings of When you Say You Love Me, This is the Moment and Broken Vow. The choir returned to sing Working Man, Can you Feel the Love Tonight and Llanfair - a very popular Welsh hymn. Next came the Ton Pentre Junior School and they didn't disappoint the audience, with a wide selection of songs including a selection from 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat'.
The choir
returned to finish the first half of the show with You Raise Me Up,
Hafan Gobaith - which was recently chosen as the most popular hymn,
and the ever popular American Trilogy.
The children

circus. * * * Previously, Cor Meibion Cwm Rhondda, together with their Musical Director Neil Topping, held a very successful concert on the Tesco stage in the Wales Millennium Centre, where a large crowd gathered to listen to a very varied programme.
