TRAFFIC - RCT Council is considering traffic calming measures for Dumfries Street, Prospect Place and adjoining streets in Treorchy to improve safety for pedestrians and drivers in the vicinity of Treorchy Primary School. Measures for consideration include road humps, gateway features and the introduction of a 20mph speed limit. Drawings of the proposals are on display at Treorchy Library until 24th March.
100th BIRTHDAY - Geraint Davies AM for Rhondda visited Glyndwr Nursing Home, Ystrad on Saturday March 1st to meet resident Mrs Edna Jones who celebrated her 100th birthday on St. David's Day. (St. David being the patron Saint of Wales)
