  • DEATHS - 23 year-old Louise L'Homme and her 8 month-old daughter Tia Roberts have been discovered dead at their home in Parry Street, Tylorstown, Rhondda. Police attended the scene on Monday evening, 17th February and have begun a murder enquiry. The public are urged to contact local police with any information. Two men have been arrested and are helping with enquiries. Police are concerned about the welfare of Andrew Roberts, the father of the child, and ask him to contact them urgently. Mr. Roberts is described as having blond hair and speaking with a Welsh valleys accent.

  • SURGERIES - Geraint Davies, Assembly Member for Rhondda, will be holding the following surgeries throughout the Rhondda. Local RCT Councillors will also be attending.

  • Thursday 27th February 2003 - Pentre: Phoenix Centre 9.00am – 9.45am

  • Friday 28th February 2003  Clydach: Community Centre  10.00am – 10.45am. Tonypandy: Combine House Day Centre 11.00am – 11.45am.  Williamstown: Nazareth House Day Centre 12.00pm – 12.45pm.  Ferndale:  Wesley House Day Centre 1.00pm – 1.45pm.

PUBLIC MEETING - Chris Bryant MP is to chair a public meeting to debate the Hunting Bill on Friday, 7th February at St. John's Hall, Ton Pentre. Attending the meeting will be the Assembly Member for Cardiff South and Penarth Lorraine Barrett AM, the Chair of the Wales Alliance Against Cruel Sports, Ralph Cook and representatives from the RSPCA. The meeting will begin at 7pm.

SURGERIES - Treorchy Ward Councillors hold their monthly surgeries at Cwmparc Welfare Hall and Ynyswen Welfare Hall from 10am to 11am, and at Pinewood House (Noddfa), Treorchy from 11am to midday, on Friday, 7th February. 

No appointments are necessary and all residents are welcome to attend. If you would prefer a home visit at any other time please contact our local Councillors - Richard Ashton on 441596, Cennard Davies on 435563 or Edward Hancock on 774785.
