annual flower and vegetable show this year reaches the milestone of its 50th

This year’s event is held at Ynyswen Welfare Hall, Ynyswen
on Sunday, September 4.

HISTORY
COURSE - A
15-week history course will commence on Monday,
Sept 19 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Treorchy
Continuing Education Centre, Horeb St, Treorchy and will be
studying local history through film.

include South Wales and industrial change, Miners strikes, Population
changes, Living and working conditions, The town of
Treorchy
, and Sites of historical interest. The course costs £10 for OAP or
unemployed, for all others the cost is £52.

Upper Rhondda Brass Band has changed their rehearsal venue and moved to Hebron
chapel schoolrooms in Ton Pentre.

Band has an active junior section and would like to invite any youngsters
