FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT - Treorchy Boys Club Under 15's Football Team will travel up to Prestatyn on Friday 29th April to compete in the R & T Tours Pontins Tournament. 27 children and adults will leave on Friday morning for 3 days of non-stop football action. "All the best boys!"
POOL - The Griffin Inn played the undefeated Stag Hotel in a top of the table clash on Tuesday 12th April. The Griffin took the first frame with a fine performance by Kerry Roberts, but Ceri Hobbs of the Stag took the second frame to make it all level. The next three frames were taken by Tyrone Wynne, Dean Evans and Sheldon Darch to make it 4-1 to the Griffin Inn until Kevin Moon of the Stag took the final frame to leave the Stag trailing 4-2 after the singles. The doubles games all went to the Griffin Inn to make the final score 7-2 to the Griffin in what was a memorable night of pool.
SUCCESSFUL CONCERT - An enjoyable and successful evening was had at the Park and Dare, when the annual Good Friday concert featuring the Park and Dare Band and Treorchy Male Voice Choir was held recently. Thanks to all who took part in providing such a lovely evening of entertainment.
POOL UPSET - The Treorchy Hotel ‘A’ side caused an upset when they defeated reigning champions the Lion ‘A’ 8-1 in a local derby played at the Lion. This result puts the ‘Hotel’ in second place in the Upper Rhondda Pool League Division One.
ANTIQUE FAIR - 'Amber Fairs' returns to the Park and Dare, Treorchy on Saturday 30th April 2005, from 10am until 4pm. Entrance costs 50p for this popular antiques and collectables fair of quality stalls with a wide selection of Militaria, jewellery, porcelain, silver and lots of other items. They also buy, and value. |
