Local Events

It has always been my policy to employ a strategy of divide and rule.

Therefore in recognition of the CRYT ( Cwmparc Rules Ynyswen and Treorchy ) group I sponsor, and their persistent belief that they are superior to the rabble in the other villages, I have decided to bribe The Welsh Assembly into awarding Cwmparc the National Eisteddfod in 2006.

There will be a few minor changes in the accepted form of the event however:

English and Wenglish will be the two languages allowed on the Maes - the latter however will be encouraged lest any intellectual types from Treorchy try to muscle in on the event.

Beer and Cider will be provided by my good self - Gratis.  I hope to exacerbate village differences with super duper strength booze that will fuel enmity and feuds for decades.

I understand that the Gorsedd stones are now available in plastic form.  I would prefer, however, to use the existing stones now languishing in Druids Close on the Maindy Rd.

My construction lads can whip them out in minutes and transfer them to the Maes in Railway Terrace.

I do not anticipate any problems as I have secured the help of the local militia in the form of Captain Parc and the Cwmparcatrons - apparently they've been trying to move them for years.
