Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a Treorchy lady. 6666666666666666666 "Two Small Words"
"Thank you" two small words that mean a lot To those who have, and those who have not These two small words can bring a smile When they haven't been heard for a while A helping hand, an open door When put with a thank you, they mean much more
We teach our children these two small words But sadly for some they are never heard To the lonely woman across the street These two small words would sound so sweet We only need to make the time She could be your mother, or even mine
The old man in the hospital bed The one who needs some help to be fed He's unable to speak, so his heart and his eyes say thank you instead
These two small words for some are hard to say It doesn't matter, it's just their way When you know in your heart you've done your best Let it go, let the matter rest. An empty thank you brings no gain Just thank heaven we are not all the same
When you thank the father in heaven above Make sure it's sent with all your love Thank him for the little showers that bring along the little flowers Gather them in, give them away, go on make somebody's day You'll get a thank you and then you will see How
