Here's a poignant first offering to Poet's Corner from an ex-Maerdy gentlemen. 6666666666666666666 "Out Of Sight But Not Out Of Mind" To both my children who I love so much A long time ago I cherished their touch
I've traveled the world and thought so hard couldn't reach you by phone or even a card
Letters I have tried, to send you so many I got the feeling that you didn't want any
It's not been easy to stay in touch although I'd have wanted to, ever so much
I tried in vein, time and time again but now things will never again be the same
An absent dad that's what you had I wish you hadn't I'd have been glad
To watch you grow up so lovely and bright to cuddle and kiss you and say goodnight
These are the things that will haunt me for ever but being MY kids, I can and will cherish forever
My darling children I love you so much I will be in distance if you want to get in touch by Kevin Hughes Love Always....Dad xx 55555555555555555555555555 *Treorchy.net sends many thanks to Kevin for sharing his thoughts with us and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to news@Treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
