Here's another lovely offering to Poet's Corner from a Rhondda gentleman. 6666666666666666666 "Fit for a Queen"
Some say a Corgi's snappy, yappy and makes a noise My Sian was just the opposite, a lady and full of poise
Ten weeks old I had her, she was what's known as long hair A little ball of fluff and cuddly, just like a teddy bear
She liked being the centre of attraction even from an early age Four days after I had her, she was on the Parc and Dare Stage
Taking a curtain call with me, in the spotlight every night In her non speaking role, the audience, found her a delight
At six Diabetes struck, perhaps she won't reach seven Two injections she had every day, now she's gone to heaven
She endured it with dignity, the gentlest dog you've ever seen My Sian was not just a Corgi, but one fit for the Queen. by "Mr. Mushnick" 55555555555555555555555555 *Treorchy.net sends many thanks again to Mr Mushnick for sharing his poems with us. and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to news@Treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
