"Earth’s Crowning Glory"

Have you seen the sky this morning?

Seen the colours of daylight forming.

The crimson horizon as the sun passes by,

the silver moon still shining high.

White clouds above an azure bed,

such beauty above our head.

Look up and see the birds in the sky,

Flying free with the butterfly.

See the honeybee looking for flowers,

Keeping busy through daylight hours.

Look out of your window, look up at the sky,

See the world through nature’s eye.

Flowers look up, turn their face to the sun,

to bathe in its light and its warmth every one.

Look up and see the tops of the trees

As they shimmer in sunlight and dance with the breeze.

Look up and see what passes by,

in shapes of clouds across the sky.

A fairy, a unicorn, or dragon’s wings,

you could see such wonderful things.

Look up and watch the sun go down,

See the world’s shining crown.

See it covered with jewels in the dark night sky,

Lighting the night for you and I.

A round full moon shining bright,

Ringed with a halo of silver light.

See black and white, silver and grey,

As it shadows the colours to end the day.
