on the River"
Ducks on the river, lovely to see
I never thought - one day I'd see
Ducks on the river
River is clean, gone is the coal
Lazy days - men on the dole
Ducks on the river
Proudly we worked, river was black
Now there is nothing - poverty's back
Ducks on the river
Our wonderful rulers, given our trust
Labour or Tory - just throw us a crust
For the ducks on the river
