Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a Treorchy lady. 6666666666666666666 "Different Days" Yesterday
was a glorious day It’s
raining now, the sky is grey Leaves
that once were crisp and dry Are
wet now and too heavy to fly. I
stand and watch the rain come down Mist
covers the mountain with a soft grey gown On
my window I see raindrops glistening I
stand there quiet, thoughtful, listening. Gentle
rain falling washing the earth Life-giving
water from heaven for Earth I
look at the garden, the spider webs shine Like
diamonds on wires all in a line. The
last leaves on the trees grow heavy then fall Soon
they’ll be gone, no colour at all The
summer has gone, but I don’t care I
really don’t mind the trees when they’re bare. When
blossoms have gone and leaves are no more Nature
opens another door So
look behind it, don’t mind the rain It
helps the whole world come to life again.
