Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a Treorchy gentleman. 6666666666666666666 "Debris" They lie like lazy litter at our feet Needles arms and vacant sounding speech Feeling neither rain nor cold nor sleet In a world beyond our normal reach.
Useless slime - it is so often said "Put them down!" or hide them far away Is it that we're just a bit afraid We could end like that, some future day?
We do not know just how to give them aid If money given will only pay the fee That to some filthy dealer will be paid. Must we all say goodbye to charity?
These useless hulks that fill us all with shame Are ever on our conscience here to see Everyone's a person just the same Some mother's son or daughter, just like me.
