Here's another lovely offering to Poet's Corner from a Rhondda gentleman. 6666666666666666666 "Days
of Colour" In Autumn as each Summer Day is lost A
little dew on ground with early frost The
colours that one sees in all the trees Leaves
floating down in abundance in the breeze With
natures carpet on the ground Red,
Orange, and Gold spread all around All
the colours gone with the first fall of snow The
days of Autumn where did you go? Those
crisp cold mornings when you wake A
little touch of ice at edge of lake Animals
search for their winter store Then
hibernate until Spring once more Birds
fly away to a warmer land Why
can't we? Wouldn't it be grand From August, September to late October Then
all the Autumn days are over One
more year to wait and see All
those lovely colours on the trees Autumn
is my favourite season of the year With
my days of colour gone, I shed a tear by "Mr. Mushnick" 55555555555555555555555555 *Treorchy.net sends many thanks to Mr Mushnick - and do keep 'em coming! and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to news@Treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
