Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a Treorchy gentleman. 6666666666666666666 "Bluebells" The bluebells are out on the "Target" today Nodding their heads as I pass on my way "Hear their bells ringing" my mam used to say. Calling to Chapel, the faithful to pray. I gathered my bluebells in days long ago And carried them home to mam on the door Wondering why her eyes watered so? I'll cherish that morning of joy evermore The bluebells are out on the "Target" again I'd pick some for mam, but it's all in vain The thoughts and the memories give me such pain Of times sadly gone, like snow in the rain. by William Ashton 55555555555555555555555555 *Treorchy.net sends thanks again to Bill for sharing his poems with us! and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to news@Treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
