Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a local lady. 6666666666666666666 "Baby's
Shoes" Shoes,
baby’s first shoes, Once
soft leather in the palest shade of pink Now,
bronze dipped they stand together on the white marble hearth. Outside
traffic roars, Inside
the clock ticks away precious time, Peach
pot-pourri lingers in the
sun-lit room rekindling memories, My
little girl’s feet once filled those shoes Tiny
feet now fully grown, They
walk towards a future full of hope Taking
with them all my love by Anna Brown. *Treorchy.net sends thanks again to Anna - do keep 'em coming! and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to news@Treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
