Here's another offering to Poet's Corner from a Treorchy lady. 6666666666666666666 "Autumn Glow"
Autumn
is my favourite season Everything
changing for a reason Flowers
fading, petals falling Soon
we’ll hear the winter calling. Autumn
leaves come floating by Falling
down from branches high Red,
rust and gold colours bright Hiding
creatures of the night. Hedgerows
full of berries red Making
sure the birds are fed Seed
pods full and ready to burst Scatter
their bounty over the earth. Golden
morning, frost in the air Soon
the trees will be all bare Autumn
harvest gathered in Before the winter storms begin. As
the days grow short and cold And
as you watch the plants grow old Remember
now there is a reason And
for everything there is a season. by Mary Ellis 55555555555555555555555555 *Treorchy.net sends a warm "Tnank You" again to Mary for sharing her poems with us all. and if anyone else would like to contribute to our poet's corner then e-mail your unpublished work to magazine@treorchy.net **Treorchy.net reserves the right to illustrate any submissions - copyright of all poetry remains with the authors and should not be reproduced in any form without prior permission. |
