Ynyswen Miner's Welfare Institute                              

The Hall is situated in Ynyswen Road, Treorchy and known locally as "Coffin Hall". It is maintained by a small voluntary committee and is available for hire at reasonable rates for parties, group activities and social functions.

The hall now has improved access, including off-road parking, has a new stage, curtains & lights, with kitchen facilities, disabled toilets and access also. For further information about activities - or to hire the hall - contact Brian Jones on 01443-422792.

 

NOTICEBOARD....

  • YNYSWEN HALL is currently available for hire each weekday morning at reasonable rates.

  • LADIES SELF DEFENCE - A self defence class for ladies will be held during the first hour of the Aikido class held at Ynyswen Hall from Saturday, April 25, 2009 from 10am to 11am. The Aikido Class for adults and children will then continue from 11am to 12 noon.
  • OAP MEETINGS - each week on Thursdays at 2pm. New members are always welcome - male or female.

Each week at the hall we have -

Monday: Sequence & Modern Dancing - 2pm - 4.30pm

Tuesday: Children's Dance - 4.30pm - 6.30pm

Wednesday: Dog Training 7pm - 9pm

Thursday: Ynyswen OAP Group - 2pm - 4pm. Dog Training 7pm - 9pm.

Friday: Line Dancing - 2pm - 4.30pm. Children's Dance 4.30pm - 6.30pm. Dog Training 7pm - 9pm.

Saturday: Ladies Self defence 10am - 11am. Aikido 10am - 12pm.

Children's dance classes (Latin American, Disco, Cheerleading) are run by fully qualified & professional IDTA & UKA dance teachers. Phone 07929 079403.

In Winter months - September to April - we have indoor bowls with Treherbert Short Green Bowling Club from 6pm every Mon, Tues & Thurs evenings from 23rd Sept onwards. New members are most welcome. If you are interested but haven’t played bowls before, just come along & see if you like it!
