Anna
Brown tells us a few tales below to start off this page...
Back
in the 60's when the members were away for a weeks holiday, they went on a
day trip from Folkestone to France. At this time, there was a sugar
shortage in the UK. Much to the amusement and surprise of the other
members, the late Mr. Jones (father-in-law of Edward Hancock, now a
committee member of the Club) returned from France with a supply of
sugar.

I
remember my father-in-law, Will Brown the undertaker, causing a great deal
of hilarity on one of the Club's holidays. My mother-in-law, Eleanor, was
red-faced when he performed with his whoopee cushion.
