Musical Director

The Heritage Singers are pleased to welcome Mr Frederick Nicholas as our M.D. Fred Nicholas is a graduate of Cardiff University and Head of Music at Bryncelynnog Comprehensive School.

An accomplished brass player he has conducted several brass bands including Rogerstone, Ynyshir and Lewis Merthyr.

He has appeared on T.V and BBC Radio Wales where he featured in the first of a new series, "First Hand" which gave insight into his commitment to musical activities.

Fred's musical skills have been essential to the progress of the Cambrian Male Choir and his enthusiasm for producing variable and exciting repertoire has guided them through the 80's and 90's and into the new millennium.

He has also had a long association with the National Youth Orchestra of Wales.
