The Heritage Singers formed in 2004 to encourage
the voice of women in an area where male choirs are predominant.
The
Choir attracts members from the Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach and
surrounding areas - and from all walks of life, including nurses, teachers,
housewives, indeed any lady who enjoys singing and the company of like
minded people.
The Heritage Singers are keen to promote Welsh crafts and industry. The
Welsh Wool Plaid sashes have been specially woven at the Welsh Woollen
Mill and the brooch holding the sash is hand engraved with daffodils on
slate by David Roberts of Llwynypia
The Choir and Musical Staff
look forward to the future with enthusiasm, a joy of singing and
entertaining audiences with a varied and exciting repertoire.
