The Heritage Singers formed in 2004 to encourage the voice of women in an area where male choirs are predominant.

The Choir attracts members from the Rhondda Fawr, Rhondda Fach and surrounding areas -  and from all walks of life, including nurses, teachers, housewives, indeed any lady who enjoys singing and the company of like minded people.

The Heritage Singers are keen to promote Welsh crafts and industry.  The Welsh Wool Plaid sashes have been specially woven at the Welsh Woollen Mill and the brooch holding the sash is hand engraved with daffodils on slate by David Roberts of Llwynypia

The Choir and Musical Staff look forward to the future with enthusiasm, a joy of singing and entertaining audiences with a varied and exciting repertoire.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals are held every Wednesday in Tabor Hall, Vaughan Street, Pwllgwaun, Pontypridd

at 7.00 p.m to commence singing at 7.15 p.m. to 9.15 p.m.

Tabor Hall was originally built as a place of worship, serving the believers of the Methodist faith for many years and the late Lord Tonypandy preached there on many occasions. The demise of the Christian worship at many chapels in the sixties and seventies resulted in the inevitable closure of Tabor Hall as a place of worship.

Tabor Hall is also the home of Cor Meibion Pontypridd.
