'Haute Couture' comes to St Matthews!
With the kind co-operation of 'The Wardbrobe' 121 Bute Street, Treorchy, our Social Committee (below) staged a Fashion Show in St Matthew's Church Hall on Thursday evening June 9th 2005 at 7pm. The evening was a sell-out with Emlyn Evans as M.C. and the fashions being modelled by Susan, Vickie & Bethan Abbott, Mair Bowen, Joyce Pearce & Anne Tomkinson. Thanks to all who supported the evening, it was such a success that it's hoped to arrange another Show. Over £400 was raised for our Church Hall Restoration Fund and at the latest reckoning, the balance in our Church Hall Restoration Fund was £7,208.45.

The present committee was formed in 1997 to organise social events for St Matthew’s Church (eg. Coffee mornings and evenings, parish outings etc.) - raising funds to support the church.
