Ron intended putting up an exhibition in Treorchy Library of the dust jackets of his 21 novels and call the exhibition '21 Today' - but when he arrived at the library he found that it was closed indefinitely due to workmen finding asbestos in the roof... as Burns said "it was a case of the best laid plans..."

Author's Profile:

I was born in 1930 and although I’ve spent nearly all my life in the Rhondda, the family moved to Leominster during the war and I went to Leominster Grammar School. I obtained 9 ‘O‘levels and  3’A’ levels. I spent most of my working life in the library dept. of the Rhondda Borough Council and Mid-Glamorgan County Council. I took early retirement in 1983 when I was deputy county librarian.

My writing experience consists of 21 novels published plus 3 others  which have been accepted for publication. They are a mixture of detective stories and westerns. I am also interested in playwriting and in addition to having had a couple of plays produced I am one of the half a dozen regular contributors to Writing Magazine where my articles appear under the title ‘On Stage’. I have learnt welsh and run a welsh class in Treherbert library where I teach welsh on the computers using children’s stories which I have written in welsh.

My favourite occupation is spending time with my six grand-daughters. My favourite interest is collecting children’s books – particularly ‘William’ stories. If anyone has any they would like to get rid of they can contact me on (01443) 774283.
