Estate Duty papers, relating to the death of Mary Emily Williams of 2, Colhugh St, Llantwit Major. Died 6th April 1959. Papers continue to 1965.
  • Contains personal correspondence between all parties;

  • copies of wills and inventories [Mrs M.E. Williams dated January 1914, wife of Ivor: Ivor Sutton Williams of 10, Austin Ave, Laleston, Bridgend, Glamorgan dated 20 Nov 1961];

  • papers relating to their garage, Williams in Colhugh St Llantwit Major;

  • distribution of Blaenllechau Estate to various beneficiaries.

The papers have been placed with the Glamorgan Record Office, The Glamorgan Building, King Edward VII Avenue, Cathays Park, Cardiff, CF10 3NE

These are permanent loans of primary source material, the property of Evan and Ruth Jones of Llandrindod Wells, Powys. 

Evan’s father, John [“Jack”] B. Jones was the oldest and longest serving solicitor in Wales, 

practising for sixty years until very shortly before his death at the age of eighty-five.
