MW / KJ 11 / 2018 Treharne
& Treharne of Pentre, Rhondda: papers
These are permanent loans of primary source material,
the property of Evan and Ruth Jones of Llandrindod Wells, Powys.
Evan’s father, John [“Jack”] B. Jones was the
oldest and longest serving solicitor in Wales,
practising for sixty years
until very shortly before his death at the age of eighty-five.
The
papers were wrapped into individual bundles and catalogued for easy
reference by Mike
Redwick-Jones & Susie Stockton-Link,
before being
presented to the Glamorgan Records Office.
Many
thanks to Mike & Susie for sending us this fascinating glimpse into the
past.
