Hello
I'm trying to trace my maternal grandfather, William Gwyn Thomas born 22 October 1892 in Treherbert.
Like me, he was very interested in rugby and played full-back. He was probably a member of Treherbert RFC after the 1914-1918 war. My mother Esme was born in August 1919.
He emigrated to the USA in 1923 on his 31st birthday and asked Ivy, my maternal grandmother, to follow on, but she declined.
The ship manifest shows that at the time his nearest relative was his sister, Mrs J Davies of 5 Pleasant View, Pontypridd.
Any information on William Gwyn Thomas or his sister J Thomas would be gratefully received!

Hi - I am doing my family tree. I am looking for the grandsons of John Thomas Gellideg and Baily Glas Neath Died 1938.
On his obit it had his son as living in Treorchy Being David John Thomas (Jack) (who raced in T.T. races info found on newspaper Neath guardian)
He had sons mentioned as Mr & Mrs Roy Thomas, Val Thomas both as living in 1938 in Treorchy.
There was a sister to David John Thomas but she lived in London married to Maurice Rees.
